B orn in Tbilisi (Georgia), in 1993 she obtained her singing diploma at the Academy
of Music in her hometown, under the guidance of Prof. Julia Paliashvili and Prof. Iveta
Gersamia.
In Italy, she frequented the Accademia Chigiana in Siena in 1995-96, where
she obtained two diplomas of merit and two scholarships, in 1997 the training and proficiency course of the “Arturo
Toscanini” Accademia di Canto in Parma, under the guidance of Maestro Tenor Carlo Bergonzi, where she again obtained
scholarships.
In 2000-2001, she frequented the proficiency and vocal interpretation course “Verdi Opera Studio” of the "Fondazione
Verdi Festival", held at the Teatro Regio di Parma, under the guidance of Soprano Renata Scotto.
Actually, she is studying with Soprano Gianfranca Ostini.
Her debut was in 1998 in Busseto, interpreting the role of Abigaille in Giuseppe Verdi’s Nabucco, directed by Maestro Romano Gandolfi, with the “Arturo Toscanini” Symphony Orchestra of Emilia Romagna and the Chorus of the Teatro Regio di Parma, with French President Giscard d’Estaing attending the performance.
In 1999 and 2000 she interpreted the roles of Fedora in U. Giordano’s opera Fedora, Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, and Tosca in Puccini’s opera Tosca, in a variety of theatres in the Lombardy region.
She has also participated in a several number of Concerts and Recitals in Italy and abroad.
In 2001 she was engaged by the Teatro Regio di Parma for the role of Amelia in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera,
conducted by Maestro Valery Gergiev, and the role of Lady Macbeth in Verdi’s Macbeth.
She participated in the "Radio France" Festival at the Opera Berlioz in Montpellier in Monleone’s Cavalleria Rusticana and in Risurrezione by F. Alfano, conducted by Maestro Friedemann Layer.
In the summer of 2002 she interpreted the role of Tosca in Puccini’s Tosca at the “Florence Festival” at the Teatro Romano in Fiesole.
Then in autumn 2002 she again plays Amelia in Verdi's Un ballo in maschera, conducted by Maestro Tiziano Severini, with tenor Salvatore Licitra and mezzosoprano Elisabetta Fiorillo, in a prestigious production of the "Circuito Lirico Lombardo", at the Theatres "A. Ponchielli" in Cremona, "Grande" in Brescia, "Sociale" in Como and "G. Fraschini" in Pavia.
2003 sees her in the role of Santuzza in Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana in Piacenza.
In 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 her roles are Tosca in Puccini's Tosca and Lady Macbeth in Verdi's Macbeth at the
National Theatre of Bratislava, Wielki Theatre in Poznan (Poland) and the National Theatre of Prague.
In 2005 she is Aida in Verdi’s Aida (2005 season opening night, with the President of the Republic of Georgia attending the performance) and Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana at the “Z. Paliashvili” State Opera House in Tbilisi.
In February 2005, she sings as Soprano at Gala Concert at the “Z. Paliashvili” State Opera House in Tbilisi.
Among her forthcoming roles, in 2006, she sang in the roles of Lady Macbeth in Verdi's Macbeth and Abigaille in Verdi’s Nabucco at the Wielki Theatre in Poznan, and again in the role of Abigaille in Verdi’s Nabucco at the Bielefeld Theatre (Germany) and at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari. She appears as Tosca in Puccini’s Tosca at the Scala Theatre in Milan, conducted by Maestro Lorin Maazel and directed by Luca Ronconi.
Again, in 2006, she sings in the role of Abigaille in Verdi’s Nabucco at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari, conducted by
Maestro Antonello Allemandi and directed by Daniele Abbado.
Also, she sings in the roles of Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore in the “Toscana Opera Festival”, Lady Macbeth in
Verdi's Macbeth and Abigaille in Verdi’s Nabucco in Poland.
In 2007, she sings in the role of Amelia in Verdi’s Un Ballo in Maschera at the “Z. Paliashvili” State Opera House in Tbilisi.
In 2008, she will be Aida in Verdi’s Aida and Odabella in Verdi’s Attila at the “Z. Paliashvili” State Opera House in Tbilisi.
